Speaking engagements
Over the years I’ve had the opportunity to speak at industry conferences, panels, and educational programs across digital marketing, performance marketing, and mobile gaming. The topics have evolved alongside the industry – from display advertising and social media research in the early 2010s, to mobile user acquisition, Meta channels, and the realities of growing a game in a post-ATT world.
Speaking, for me, is an extension of how I think about marketing: you don’t really understand something until you can explain it clearly to a room full of people who will push back on it.
2023
Social 2023 Wrap-Up with Aleph Meta ASP – User Acquisition on Meta channels panel – December 2023
A panel discussion on the evolving landscape of user acquisition through Meta’s advertising ecosystem — covering creative strategy, audience signals, and what actually moves the needle when organic reach is gone and every dollar is accountable.

Fuckup Nights Beograd: Gaming edition – SGA, ICTHub – March 2023 @ PlayStudios Europe
Fuckup Nights is one of the few formats where honesty actually wins. I joined Lana Čubrić (Two Desperados) and Miroslav Mićević (Ebb Software) to talk about the real cost of mistakes in game marketing – the campaigns that burned budget, the strategies that looked good on paper, and what we actually learned from each of them. The audience response was the best kind: recognition, not sympathy.

2022
IAB Digital Day 2022 – Panel Discussion “Game over. Or is it?” – Mobile Gaming view on marketing and acquisition challenges
A timely panel looking at the state of mobile gaming marketing post-iOS 14 — the death of the IDFA, the scramble to adapt measurement strategies, and whether mobile gaming’s era of easy growth was really over or just transforming. Spoiler: it was transforming.

2019
IAA – AcademIAA – Innovation Module program coordinator & Digital Trends and Trend Predictions – October 2019
Coordinated and presented the Innovation Module for AcademIAA, the Serbian IAA chapter’s educational program for young marketing and advertising professionals. Covered digital trends, trend prediction methodologies, and how to separate signal from noise in an industry that produces a lot of both.

2018
IAA – AkademIAA – Digital trends and Trend Predictions – October 2018
AcademIAA is an educational initiative run by IAA Serbia to develop the next generation of advertising and marketing professionals. I was involved in shaping part of the curriculum and delivering the digital trends segment – an exercise in making future-facing thinking practical, not theoretical. The enthusiasm of the students every year made it worth doing.

2017
IAB Serbia IAB Tech Lab – Presentation of Localisation of IAB’s new Ads Portfolio initiative – December 2017
Presented the localisation initiative of IAB’s new Ads Portfolio — translating global ad format standards into practical guidance for the Serbian market. Part of the broader work to bring IAB standards to regional publishers and agencies.

IAB Digital Day Conference IAB Tech Lab – Presentation of AdBlocking Research results – May 2017
Presented findings from IAB’s ad blocking research, covering adoption rates, user motivations, and what the industry could realistically do in response. A topic that felt urgent then and proved even more prescient as the ad ecosystem continued to fragment.

2016
Gemius E-commerce Day – Presentation of Audit for Mobile Retail and Finance sectors – IAB Serbia – October 2016
Presented an audit of mobile performance in the retail and finance sectors – benchmarking where Serbian e-commerce and financial services stood on mobile UX, speed, and conversion. A snapshot of an industry that was catching up fast but still had real gaps.

2013
IAB Digital Day 2013 – Central Panel Discussion
An expert panel on managing digital-wide campaigns in Serbia — one of the earlier conversations in the local market about what it actually meant to run integrated digital campaigns across channels, rather than treating display, search, and social as separate line items.

E-Trgovina Conference 2013 – Display Advertising Advantages
A presentation and panel on display advertising — making the case for display in an ecosystem still skeptical of it, and walking through what good looks like versus what agencies were actually delivering.

Center for Career Development – Online Media Planning – May 2013
An open lecture on digital media planning for an audience of students and early-career professionals — covering channel selection, buying models, and the fundamentals of building a media plan that connects to a business objective.

2012
WAVE 6 – Business of Social – Social media research
Presented local results from the Wave 6 global social media research study and moderated the panel discussion that followed. Wave 6 was one of the first large-scale studies tracking how people actually used social media versus how brands thought they did — still a useful corrective.

2012
Sempl Regional Media Festival
Recognized with the Golden Sempl Award for the best digital media campaign at the regional level. One of those validations that matters more in retrospect than it did in the moment.

2010
London School of PR
An early-stage presentation on how social media was beginning to reshape public relations — before “social media strategy” was a standard line on every agency deck. The fundamentals covered then still hold; the platforms have just multiplied.
